Sexually transmitted infections constitute a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly in developing countries. Their public health importance draws from their complications which disproportionately affect women and newborns, their reproductive health consequences and the fact that they facilitate the transmission of HIV. However, all STIs are preventable and most can be cured.
This interactive workshop will explore:
- Viral Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, HSV and HPV.
- Closer look on guidelines and recommendations for management of viral (STIs).
- Several case scenarios tackled and discussed in an interactive way

GYNECOLOGY

Designed for the practicing gynecologists to optimize their skills on how to get sufficient endometrial sample and appropriate cervical smear to minimize the risk of inadequate sampling.

They have a direct impact on reproductive and child health through infertility cancers and pregnancy complications. The workshop will include an overview on common bacterial STIs, a glimpse through guidelines and recommendations for management and an interactive case discussion.
