Sexually transmitted infections constitute a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly in developing countries. Their public health importance draws from their complications which disproportionately affect women and newborns, their reproductive health consequences and the fact that they facilitate the transmission of HIV. However, all STIs are preventable and most can be cured.

This interactive workshop will explore:

  • Viral Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, HSV and HPV.
  • Closer look on guidelines and recommendations for management of viral (STIs).
  • Several case scenarios tackled and discussed in an interactive way
